One of my favorite past times is eating great food=) I am always keeping my eyes open for new recipes or restaurants to try. As of lately I have come to the conclusion that I love me a good burger and fries. I'm talk about a juicy, beefy, melt-in-your-mouth kinda burger. And of course, I can never pass on good french fries. The key, my friends, to good french fries is actually not in the french fry at all, but in the quality of ketchup. A good french fry is no fry at all if the ketchup is less than par.
With that said, Aaron and I found a good burger joint today: Longhorn Cafe on Blanco near 1604. The atmosphere is fun and laid back. You enter and immediately order your food, then sit and watch your favorite sports team. I ordered a cheeseburger, Aaron ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and we shared a large order of half and half french fries and onion rings. The burger was good but mine had too much mayo on it...that was all I tasted at first. However, the onion rings were to die for! They are the real thing, hand battered and all. Next time we will skip the fries and order all onion rings. (The fries are good but the onion rings are simply that much better!) They offer a variety of items, including a massive chicken fried steak.
Burger: 4 (out of 5)

We will definitely be heading back to Longhorn Cafe. Tell me about your favorite burger joints as I would love to expand my burger joint horizons!
